From Bo's family...
Happy Holidays! I can't believe it's been over 2 months since we brought Bo home. He is such a great puppy and has brought so much joy to our family, especially me!! He is truly the best boy!
He has the most wonderful personality and tempermant. He is loving and friendly and so excited to meet everyone he sees! He is very well behaved, and knows and loves his routine. We walk every morning and play ball in the yard, take walks in the state park and sometimes have play dates with our puppies. He loves his playdates the most! I take him with me, when I can, to socialize him and he loves it. People often stop me to tell me how good looking he is, and he thanks them by licking and kissing them!
Bo is around 35 lbs now and growing wonderfully. He just finished puppy kindergarden and received his AKC puppy star! He was the star of the class! He will begin the next level next week. He is also potty trained, crate trained and goes happily in his crate every night to sleep.
Thank you for all the work you put into breeding your dogs. We could not be happier with our boy!!
Christmas came early this year!!!
Best to you and your family!!
It’s a beautiful day in Connecticut and my (Country Meadow) labs are enjoying every minute of it.
I was just looking through pictures I took of Shackleton (the black lab) to commemorate his third birthday and thought it would be nice to share with you. I’ve also included a collage I made of Lacey that I took this past February. Lacey is now nine, but has the heart and soul of a pup.
These two are THE best dogs. And, they have been the best dogs from the moment we met them at your house. They have easy temperaments and they are both labs to the core. They have brought so much happiness to our lives and I wanted to thank you for the excellent care you take in breeding Country Meadow Labs.
Time certainly flies – I can’t believe it’s been 1 month since I brought Hannah home. She’s doing wonderfully. Each week we try a few new experiences, and none have seemed to rattle her. Last week we went for a walk in the park, a walk in town, visited a sick family member, and went to an outlet center to watch all the people shopping. She rides in the car beautifully – lies down and goes to sleep as soon as she gets in. Nothing seems to rattle her – she had her second trip to the farm this past weekend. She rides around in the UTV to work on field chores with us – she has no issues being strapped in, she lies on the floor and goes to sleep as we drive through the fields. She also went fishing this weekend, and is currently deciding whether or not she likes water – she’s intrigued by it right now. The ponds are cold, so I gave her a small bin of water that she promptly got in and walked around in. We might try a kiddie pool this week if it’s warm enough, and then move on to a stream as the weather gets nicer. She gets along well with other dogs, chews only her toys, is learning to fetch, and is definitely a fan of her bed, pillow and blankets – this little girl likes comfort and any sunny spot she can find in the house. When we sit out on the patio at night, she curls up at our feet with her bone.
This week she starts puppy kindergarten.
I’ve attached a few photos from her weekends at the farm.
I hope all the other pups are doing well.
Good evening Vicky,
I wanted to send you an update on Hannah Moselle, now that she’s 6 1/2 months old. I’ve attached some photos from the past month. The last two were taken today. As you can see, this girl loves her time outdoors. On the farm, she does well on staying with me, so is able to be off leash most of the time for our walks. She loves helping in the blueberry patch, walks in the woods, fields and meadows, and anything relating to water. She’s gone for very short walks on the Appalachian trail and has usually used her best puppy manners if we encounter other hikers. She rides beautifully in the car – she gets in, lays down, and doesn’t get up until we arrive, whether it’s 15 minutes or 4 hours. It took her until almost 6 months to decide that she liked water. At first she walked around puddles and avoided streams, then she gradually decided they were OK. Then she decided getting in the shower and bathtub with anyone, particularly my grandson, was great fun, so I bought her a kiddie pool which she thoroughly enjoyed. After that she discovered that she could actually swim in the deeper waters of the farm ponds. Now swimming is the high point of her day. After playing fetch in the water, she lays at the side of the pond and chews her bone while I swim. Hannah starts her second obedience class this week – we took a break over the busiest portion of the summer. She does forget her manners and becomes over excited when people or other dogs come to visit, I think typical puppy behavior, so we’ll be working on that.
She was spayed last month. She was the best behaved patient in the vet’s office, and thus, ended up being the last surgery of the day. Since she was so good, she joined the vet techs in their office, sleeping under their desks while they worked, and under the picnic table when they had their lunch.
At 6 1/2 months, she weighs 39 pounds.
I hope her siblings are doing as well as she is. Hannah has been a real joy, and as you can see, pretty much my constant companion. I love the picture of her amongst my wildflower field – she’s turning into a real beauty.
Good Evening Vicky,
Hannah Moselle (of Noah and Charlee) celebrated her first birthday earlier this week. She continues to be a real joy and lovely addition to our family. She goes to day care occasionally and loves playing with the other dogs, and particularly likes it in the summer when they have swimming. She had an extended stay there in November while we were away on vacation, and she did very well. She was not stressed at all about being left. She does well on her off-leash walks around the farm, and will start more serious trail hiking with me this spring. As you can see from the photos, she’s a constant companion of my granddaughter, when she visits. My granddaughter was rolling out dog biscuits in one of the photos, and Hannah is very good about not taking anything off the kiddie table. As you predicted, this dog is very social. There are no strangers in her world, only friends she hasn’t met yet.
Hi Vicky...thanks again for puppy! I think I'll call him JET black....JET....he is so happy. He was playing with his toys..romping around..starting to get mischievous.. Now sleeping and snoring in his crate....So clearly he is happy and relaxed....I adore him! Thank u more than u know!
Hi Vicky...jet is doing great! He's a lover boy! Very well behaved. Here are more pictures! Hope you are well.
Jet is now 4months old and growing fast. He's a darling! Potty trained. Crate trained. Walking on leash. He loves watching TV with kids! Loves his poppy too! He's getting lots of love and toys! Thank you!
Hi Vicky...jet is almost 6 months old! He's beautiful and so much fun! My best Buddy! He's well trained and so good!
My baby boy jet is one year old tomorrow. Hes handsome, sweet, CALM and very very loving! Here are a couple of pics....keep doing what you do!
Thought I'd send a few pics of JET.. hes fabulous, loving, fluffy and soooo sweet! Happy happy puppy. I just adore him. I was in yard today and a deer was just about 15-20 feet away and just seemed to know Jet was friendly...he didn't run or flinch..they just looked at each other with peace.
Hope all is well and that your puppies are getting lots of love in their homes!
I hope all is well and that you survived the snow storm. I just wanted to take a minute and tell you how incredibly amazing Charlie is! He is six months old now and weighing in at 64 pounds already, he is going to be a very big boy! He is extremely handsome, all English haha. No one can resist stopping to meet him and give him some love!
Charlie has the most beautiful temperament of all my labs. He is so sweet and calm. My daughter and him are completely inseparable and they do literally everything together. Since the day we brought him home he has been so patient with her. She likes to wrap him up in her blanket and tuck him into bed with all of her toys and then snuggle up on him while he just lays there and falls asleep. He is also very protective and does not like anyone to rough house with her and he deliberately blocks her from going up or down the stairs.
Charlie seems to be an old soul in his puppy body. I have had dogs my whole life but never a puppy that essentially acted like a grown up. He goes everywhere with us and loves going to the park. We hang back when my daughter plays on the playground and kids just flock to meet him and is always happy to see them and very very gentle.
As you know, my first lab will forever have a very special piece of my heart, but I think Charlie may be headed for the same place which I did not think possible. I am so great full that you were willing to part with him and I just wanted to let you know how much we love him and spoil him rotten!
It has been way too long and I hope all is well with you. I wanted to give you an update on Charlie now that he is 2 years old!!!! To tell you that he is amazing would be an understatement. When I sent you my last update I told you how enamored him and my daughter were with each other, but now Charlie has 2 little girls to take care of! My 3 year old and my 1 year old and Charlie are inseparable. He is there friend, their pillow, and is even my little one's walker! He has the sweetest most gentle nature of any dog I have ever known. His temperament is such that he has become our neighborhoods mascot for all of the kids, even the ones that are scared of dogs, to come and spend time with him. In fact on Halloween we have kids come to trick-or-treat at our house and tell us they don't want candy but come just to see Charlie!
I feel that he would make the perfect therapy dog, especially for children. He has a way about him that just makes you feel as though he is an old soul that just knows. He knows exactly what any particular person needs in any given situation. It is difficult to explain so hopefully I am not sounding crazy! I had a Newfoundland years ago that I trained to be a therapy dog and we spent our time in senior centers and at a children's hospital in Philadelphia. My goal is to do this with Charlie at some point when the kids are bit older.
Despite the love that my girls and Charlie share, he is without a doubt my baby boy. Charlie is truly one of a kind. After all I went through with my last two labs, I am so grateful for Charlie because he was absolutely meant to be in my life. He is treated like a king (when he isn't being the babysitter haha). He does everything with us from swimming to hiking to playing on slides at the playground with the girls! He gets to go to daycare 3 days a week so that he can just be a dog and have fun with his pup friends too.
I can't thank you enough for Charlie, he means the world to our family, there is not a thing I would change about him!
So many pictures to choose from but here is a couple of my favorites....
We’ve been meaning to check in with you for a while, but you know what? It’s hard to get Gussie to stay still to get a good picture! ha ha. Isn’t she a beautiful little thing? Everywhere we walk with her, people stop to remark on how pretty she is. She loves other dogs and people, is not strange or shy at all, and happy to see everyone, even complete strangers… a very happy little girl.
She is growing quickly and is very smart. She and I are in Puppy Kindergarten, and she’s the smartest one in her class (although I’m not biased or anything). She’s still catching on with the leash, stops and has to sniff or look at everything, but getting much better at walking with us. Fortunately we have a pretty big fenced in back yard area, so she can get her sillies out running after her toys.
She has never had an issue sleeping through the night and took to her crate day one, a little crying for about 30 seconds the first night, then smooth sailing from then on. When we fix her dinner, she sits politely. It’s hilarious! What a perfect little lady!
We adore her and will send periodic updates. Thank you for such a wonderful dog.
Best regards: Barbara
We just wanted to share with you a picture of our baby girl, Bailey! She will be 11 weeks old tomorrow and she is one pretty girl. She loves her new home and is getting bigger every day. Hope all is well with you and your family!
Hi, Vicky! I just wanted to send you an update! I'm almost 5 months old now! Everything is going well! I love my family, friends, my yard, my crate and walking and sniffing around my neighborhood. I hope all is well with my mom and dad and you, of course, too. Take care. - Bailey
Bailey is beautiful; we are lucky to have her in our lives. She was boarded and trained by Lynn Martin at Northeast Dog Academy for 17 days in August and did very well! Bailey is very smart, quiet, and doesn't have an ounce of aggression in her. We are seriously considering taking her training to the next level and certifying her as a therapy dog when she gets older. Hope all is well with you, your family and you dogs!
Bailey at 18 months
Hi, Vicky! It's been a while!
I hope you and your family are well. My wife (Sally) took this lovely photo of Bailey recently. I hope you'll add it to her "profile"? Isn't she beautiful! We LOVE our little Boo-Boo! Happy Holidays!
From JP's Family...I just wanted to drop you a quick line to say hello and to thank you so much for breeding such joy. I hope that all of JPs brothers and sisters are in loving homes. We get compliments all the time and it is actually a little overwhelming how much attention a little pup (specially bred) can get. I hear "wow, that looks like a dog right out of a commercial", rather often during our trips outside.
Here is a photo of Miss Daisy, from Noah and Mirage. She is doing great and just so darn cute. We have a wonderful time with her. She absolutely loves the snow this winter and simply can't get enough of playing in it! We are so happy to have her! Thank you.
Piper and her big sister, Zoe
Hi Vicky, I just wanted to send you an email now that Piper is 13 weeks old and adjusting well as a member of our family! Piper gets so much attention from us and she loves to cuddle (and brutalize) our 13 year old chocolate lab, Zoe - who has dropped a few years by having Piper puppy in the house.
We are so impressed by how smart Piper is. By 9 weeks she was sitting and giving her paw on command and since then she is fetching and coming when we call her (most of the time). The best is that Piper now sits at the door when she has to go to the bathroom! She has not had an accident in 2 weeks.
I have included two pictures of Piper and Zoe and also my favorite new picture of Piper. My son purchased a dog tag and used Piper as a billboard to ask his date to the prom. She came over to meet Piper and saw the dog tag right away. She said yes!
Hope all is well with Lily, Bruno and all of your dogs/puppies. Keep up the good work - you are making a lot of families happy!
From Neko's Family....just wanted to update you on our little girl. We had a great trip back, and since then she has been a total delight -- sweet, mellow, not afraid of anything, snuggly and adorable....she's a total joy and the whole family is crazy about her. She's still totally sweet and loves to cuddle in Mom and Dad's laps, very, very social with people and other dogs....we started taking her to puppy training a couple of weeks ago and she's picking things up very quickly beyond the few commands we had managed to teach her on our own....how totally sweet she is. We've had her in a little puppy bolster bed but recently bought a bed for when she's full sized -- she's not quite sure how she feels about it yet (it's so big) but last night I lay down on it and she came and lay down next to me, put her paw on my arm and her head next to mine, heaven. The kids already want a brother for Neko and I can see how much she'd love a playmate. Maybe someday...We are very proud of our little girl -- she finished her first obedience course tonight, and was the only dog in her group to earn her AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy medal. She's just such a pleasure.
Penny did great last night. She is acclimating quiet well. Robert kept her busy almost all day on Saturday. A few accidents but she was properly corrected. She is one hungry little bugger! If she could have eaten the bowl she would have! It was great to come home at night to a dog again! Thank you for everything. It was a pleasure to meet you and your family. We will send updates.................................Hi Vicky, Penny is growing quickly as we all know she would. She has had her checkup and is doing fine, her next appointment is on 30 July. She has plenty of chew toys and is leaving things she should not be touching alone which is great. She has been called the furry T-Rex! She is kind of tall so she has been going up the stairs alone, but we carry her down for the time being. She is using her spot in the yard pretty well. She is learning the bells at the door and is coming along well with that. My wife has been cracking the whip on everyone to keep up on everything. She loves her crate and it’s so cute to see her hop in to it as she goes around the corner.
Hi Vicky, Penny is doing well. These were taken Tuesday after a run in the woods at Herrs. She is a wonderful dog with such a personality. Her teeth are coming in as of last week, and boy does she like to chew. She has been housebroken for quite some time. Almost two weeks after we got her she was well trained. She has made her kennel a place to unwind and has taken to it well. We went dive hunting and she is fine with a gunshot; it didn't even phase her.
She is absolutely a wonderful dog. Well mannered affectionate sweet and smart to name a few. The boys are really doing well with her. My buddies comment on how beautiful she is. Her color is wonderful and coat is exceptional.
Thank you for being patient with me while waiting to get her. She is my little sweetheart.
From Bow's family...We are all doing great with our new addition. He's such a wonderful dog Vicky. What a kind, sweet BIG puppy he is...potty training was a breeze with him... We really love him he's a big cuddler and loves to take our socks..What a joy Bow is to all of us. You did a beautiful job breeding these pups..my sister and several friends have asked when your next litter is...they love him too..
We are totally in love with our new little girl! Her name is Moriah for Moriah Cay, an unbelievably beautiful body of water in Exuma, Bahamas. She's settling in nicely, sound asleep at the moment! She had a blast running all around the property when we got home. Thanks again!
Just wanted to give you an update on our girl! Moriah is doing great, she loves the pool, boat and swimming anywhere and everywhere she can! She is a wonderful addition to our family.
We adore Moriah and are having so much fun with her. She goes to work with me 3 days a week and just loves all of the people she gets to meet. Our customers can't walk past my office without stopping to pet her and tell her how cute she is. Have wonderful summer!
Dear Vicky, how are you? Just wanted to say Hello, and let you know how I'm doing. It's been a busy first week here in Brookeville, Maryland. I have spent every waking moment trying to train my humans. They are doing quite well, though. They are very good about letting me outside to go potty, although sometimes I had to scratch at the door to give them a hint! They are fun to play with, and have a neat supply of toys. Went to the vet last Wednesday. She was nice, but not very fair: I gave her a puppy kiss, and she gave me a SHOT! I taught my humans to give me delicious treats---just for SITTING! And just to go into my comfy bed! Talk about a good deal!! Humans are so funny. Hope you are doing great. Thanks for finding me this home and family---I think I'll keep them. Say Hi to Mama Mirage for me. Love, Kori
Kori & Brantley
I meant to send these earlier but I wanted to let you know brantley is doing great! I love him so much and he is getting along great with Kori. They play so much it's exhausting. Brantley and I go to puppy school every Tuesday and he is the best in the class. I may be biased but he is so good!!! He comes when called, sits, stays, annndddd sleeps through the night!! Thank you for such a great puppy. I hope you are doing well!!
Kori & Brantley
Thought you would get a kick out of these photos of Rumor. Her tail has not stopped wagging!!!
Neither has mine!
Here are a couple pics I thought you might like to see. The first is probably the best pic of Tucker we've gotten and the others show him with what seems to be his favorite of our other dogs, the least likely character, Sookie (like cookie).
This little guy is starting school a week from Saturday. Should be interesting, I've never done it before.
Tucker and Sookie
He is doing very well, very active and fun and slept pretty much straight through the night again last night.
Chopin and Bach
Hi Vicky, Here are some recent pictures of Bach and Chopin. They're doing fine and they love playing in their backyard. Richard & Patty
Happy Father's Day to Bruno! Vicky, Here are some photos of Chief Hodgson born January 30, 2013 - Bruno and Willow. He is just an awesome guy! He weighed in at 50lbs last week and is a star everywhere he goes. He is super smart - can open doors and walks off leash already. And, he gets so many compliments for being so handsome (as my dad Bruno - a spitting image) and so well mannered as a puppy. Thank you again for guidance in choosing a puppy for us! Best, Nicole
I hope all is well. Just wanted to send you a couple of pictures of Chief ( Bruno & Willow) couple of months after turning two years old & really enjoying the snowy weather today.
He's a fabulous dog & the most handsome boy!
Best wishes Craig & Nicole
Hello Vicky ,
I hope you are well and enjoying the snow?
Thought we would send you a recent picture of Chief (Bruno & Willow) out walking in the rain ( rain & snow are his favorite conditions).
He has just turned 3 yrs old and continues to bring much fun & laughter to our family & as you can see is more handsome the older he gets.
We continue to tell people who ask as we walk where we got such a great looking dog!
Wishing you the best in 2016
Parker after graduating from puppy kindergarten
Ginger (right) with her two sisters
Ginger (Mirage x Noah)
Just wanted to send you a quick email and a few pictures. We decided to name her Ginger. The ride home was a little stressful for her. She "cried" for about an hour before she finally settled down. Other than that, she has adjusted very well. Potty training and crate training are going very well, too. She has impressed us! We took her to the vet this morning and she's 100% healthy. She's already up to 12 lbs (not surprising because she loves her food!!). Anyway, just wanted to give you an update. She's such a good girl and we couldn't be happier with her! :)
Ginger (Mirage x Noah)
I just want to give you a little update on Ginger (from Mirage and Noah's previous litter). She is doing very well and the whole family is having so much fun with her. Her favorite things - playing ball and digging dirt. :) We live in a neighborhood full of dogs, so she has a lot of fun playing with them. She can clearly hold her own, even when she was a young pup. Our boys simply adore her, and she certainly loves the attention. She gets so many compliments, too! Not only how beautiful she is, but also her personality. She has a wonderful temperament. Our vet said she has beautiful markings and asked where we got her. We took her to the beach last month and I couldn't even count the number of people that stopped us so they could pet her (both kids and adults!). People were even taking pictures of her and telling us she's the "picture perfect dog". :)
Anyway, I attached a few pictures. The first two are from our beach trip (she's a great swimmer). The last one was taken the other day (almost 9 months old, ~65 lbs and still growing). Thank you so much for raising such wonderful pups!!
From Storm's Family.....Just wanted to let you know Storm has been great. Everyone loves him! We had a great weekend with him and he has a wonderful temperament. He is a fantastic problem solver and devours his food. He already sits on command and is learning to ring a bell to go outside. We have never had a retriever so smart. Our mini-schnauzer mothers him and the two of them play non-stop. When Storm gets tired of playing he craws onto a ledge of our coffee table and takes a nap. He will not fit under there for long at the rate he is growing. We sure made a great choice to bring one of your dogs into our home......He has a great disposition! Storm is friendly with everyone, and is well mannered around other animals. He is fun loving and eager to please. He learns at an exceptional rate and loves to play games. Housebreaking was easy, and he already responds to all of the basic commands. He loves to nap in his crate even with the door open, and he eagerly greets us when we come home and wags his whole body. Storm loves to snuggle, but he is perfectly happy to flop on the floor next to you, it is a perfect combination of being close by without sitting right on top of us. He and our Mini-Schnauzer are great friends and they play hilarious games together. Storm is healthy and is growing rapidly (over 35 lbs now). He is curious and has confidence in a wide range of circumstances, and loves to splash around in our lake. The boy has never met a stick he doesn't want to carry around. I am very pleased that we found you and totally love Storm. Thanks for raising such a great Lab!...........Hi Vicky, Just wanted to say hello and to let you know Storm is doing well. He makes us laugh everyday and he is an amazing friend. He has the most lovable disposition of any dog we have every had in the family. Storm is up to 80 pounds now. How much does Bruno weigh? Storm loves to play and still thinks he is a lap dog. I hope you found homes for your other puppies. You have such great dogs, and I am sure we will add another one of you puppies to our home sometime in the future.
Sadie was amazingly good on the 10 hour ride home. She spent the first 5 hours on my lap and then the for the second half we moved to the back seat where she could stretch. As you can see, she was one relaxed pup!
Thank you again for everything!!
Best wishes, Valerie & Dave
Just a quick update from Michigan – Sadie is doing amazingly well. She’s the hit of the neighborhood. She has such a sweet temperament and is learning all her basic commands. She’s one smart puppy. Like any puppy, she loves to bite everything in sight, so keeps us busy. We keep plenty of toys at hand so that she can bite and mouth the right kinds of things.
We know that we will want a baby sister for Sadie sometime next year, so we will definitely stay in touch.
I hope you and your family are doing well.
Sadie is loving the snow and looking forward to her first Christmas!!
Sadie & Auggie
I don't think we were organized enough to send you an update on the girls over the holidays, so better late than never! Sadie (l) and Auggie (r) quickly became best friends and have taken over the house. They are awesome. Auggie's grown (now 9 months) since this picture and is almost as big as Sadie. Hope everything is going well with you.
Valerie and Dave
Just wanted to thank you again for the dog. He is doing great and is healthy. Couldn't have asked for a better dog/friend.
Eli with his new brother Ben
Eli, Ben, and Emily
I'm Finbar and I am enjoying my new home here with Lynn and Brian. I am a good boy. I will talk to you again soon.
He has added so much joy to our lives. Remember when you told me how sweet he is: OMG- he walks by you and gives you a little lick, he lays right beside you, always wants to be right in there with the family. He truly is a remarkable addition to our family. Chase has been so easy to train as well. Though, he still loves shoes. :)
Chase (Mirage x Noah)
What a Joy! We are enjoying him so much. He is loving, smart, and a beauty. So happy we met you. Hope all is well!............Hi Vicky, Before another minute goes by…we are having such a great time with Chase. He’ s so good and sooooo cute. Believe it or not, he slept through the night and has had very few accidents. Chase loves to eat and drink. We are walking him slowly in the yard. He sometimes sits for his few treats. So far, so good-actually GREAT. We are loving every minute with him. He is delightful. Thanks again,
Just wanted to give you a quick update on Leyna...she had her first check-up with us on Friday. Everything went great, and she was so well-behaved (she had kisses for everyone)! Of course, they think she is perfect. :)
Overall, everything here at home is going pretty well also. We're working on the potty training, but I think she'll have it down soon. She listens very well and seems very smart. I'm excited to enroll her in puppy class! And, she is doing wonderfully with Josh (he's 2). For being such a young puppy, she is very patient with him and lets him give her "kissies" on the nose. So sweet!
All the best, Jennifer
Duncan is doing great! He is growing nicely. Last Tuesday when he went to the vet he was 16.1 pounds. He is probably around 18 pounds now. He's still very laid back. He has been going to work with me in the afternoons on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday and after the initial playtime when everyone makes a big fuss over him he takes a nap on the floor in my office. I have a steady stream of visitors just peeking in on him. Everyone is so amazed at how calm he is. Initially he was a little shy but he has outgrown that. He's very social and everyone who sees him says he's the cutest puppy they've ever seen. He sleeps through the night and he likes his crate. He isn't afraid of the vacuum cleaner and he tolerates the dogs next door who stand at the fence and bark at him. Every once in awhile he will bark when he's playing but for the most part it's a signal that he has to go out. I will be taking him to "Puppy Kindergarten" classes given by the trainer at my vet's office. They also offer more advanced obedience classes along with Canine Good Citizen and basic agility classes. He's adjusting very well to the leash. Best of all he's a great companion. He is so sweet and loving and then there are times he is such a clown. I absolutely love having him and thank you once again!.......He is such a sweetheart and has brought a lot of happiness to a lot of people already. Everyone at work looks forward to their Duncan "fix" in the afternoons. One of the doctors that I work for has an 8 year old lab who comes into the office on some Fridays. We noticed how relaxed everyone was with Colby around and that has helped pave the way for Duncan......He is still the laid back puppy I brought home a few months ago but he is getting a bit more vocal now. He still barks to go out but now he also barks when he wants some attention. He still goes to work with me 3 afternoons a week and he has brought so much joy to a lot of people. Working in a dental office, I am used to seeing people come in whom are really stressed and unhappy, however, if Duncan is in sight you can almost immediately see them relax. On several occasions I have been asked to bring him down to see a patient who is apprehensive and it is amazing the effect he has on them. My co-workers love having him there and my bosses joke about putting him on the payroll.
I was just looking at the website - the puppies are adorable. And Thor is a handsome boy. Is he from the same litter as Duncan?
Speaking of Duncan - what a total joy he is. I cannot even begin to tell you how happy he has made so many people. He still goes to work with me 3 afternoons a week and heaven forbid I should show up without him! He has even won over the non - dog people in the office. My bosses, co-workers and even the patients coming in for treatment all come and visit him and he also has some friends that look forward to seeing him when I walk him at work.. Everyone has to have their Duncan time on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday! He's also the star on my Facebook page. Everyone needs their "Yellowish Dog" updates and photos. He has his own Fan Club!
He completed Puppy Kindergarten last June and did very well. In August we did a Basic Obedience Class and he got a perfect score in his final class. He was the only one of 6 dogs to hold a sit and stay for 3 minutes and well as a down and stay. We then did an agility class which he enjoyed. He was the biggest dog in the class and the "jumps" were only 6-8 inches high so he usually just walked over them but he loved the tunnel and jumping through the tire. After agility we did an advanced obedience class which the trainer has set up to fine tune the skills learned in Basic. He did well but was more the class clown in this class. The dogs in the class were all "friends" of his as were the owners so it was a little different. The trainer calls him "wiggle butt" because his tail is always wagging. I plan on doing the advanced class again to keep him in the training mode and then we will do Canine Good Citizen. The trainer feels he could maybe pass the test now but she recommended we wait awhile for him to mature some before we do the class. Meanwhile we are working on the skills needed for the class and he is doing very well. His weaker areas are meeting and greeting both people and other dogs. He wants to play and has a hard time containing himself. However, he does work well off leash in the training environment so that's good..
On Fridays Duncan goes to The Barker Lounge. It's a doggie day care that a friend has and he gets a full day of supervised play. They tell me he is so well behaved he can go into any group they have because he adapts to the group dynamics. They also comment on his temperament - he's so happy and cheerful and laid back. They love having him there and he loves being there, too.
This first year with Duncan has been terrific. I cannot thank you enough for the little(and now big) bundle of fur that I brought home a year ago.. He is such a good boy and I believe it has as much to do with breeding as it does with his training. He is a beautiful boy but it's his personality that stands out. Everybody's "Gotta Luv My Duncan"!
Thank you so much. Ginger
Just wanted to say Hi to you on Duncan's birthday! He is absolutely the best boy! He is still very calm and people are surprised when they hear how young he is. He goes to the Barker Lounge for play time once a week and they tell me he fits into any group there - that he adjusts his behavior to that of the group whether they're older, younger, bigger or smaller. He's still going to work with me three days a week and the patients come in asking for him now. Many have watched him grow up.We still haven't done Canine Good Citizen - the trainer feels he's still a bit immature for that. He gets a real bad case of 'wiggle butt' with certain people and it's like his tail has a mind of its own. We're working on that now and making progress. We're hoping to complete that later this year.He 'aced' both basic and advanced obedience and loved agility class.
Thank you so much for Country Meadow's Gotta Luv My Duncan!
I wanted to let you know that Duncan was certified as a therapy dog on June 14. Therapy Dogs International did testing at The Barker Lounge where I take him for day care once a week and he passed with flying colors! My trainer was also there and suggested we enroll for the next Canine Good Citizen class since she feels he has settled down enough to pass that also. His biggest problem has been his 'wiggle butt' but he's learning to control himself a lot more now.
Duncan also has a big brother now. We adopted/ rescued Louie, a 9 year old yellow Lab, who had been a companion to a soldier with PTSD....Both dogs are so well behaved I can walk them together - something I never thought would be possible!
Love the photos of the puppies and I was happy to see Thor completed his American Championship.
Thank you again for Duncan! He is such a terrific boy!
Here are some photos of Duncan taken this year. We've done Puppy Kindergarten, Basic and Advanced Obedience, a few Agility courses and a review of the basics for his Therapy Dog Certification. He loves the classes although the first two weeks he is usually the class clown. Once he settles in he's great. He's still going to work with me and more and more patients are asking to see him. They say it takes their mind off why they're there and makes their visits much more relaxing. He's also a big hit with my co-workers and they say they benefit from his presence too. Along with The Barker Lounge, he also enjoys walks at John Heinz Refuge, Governor Printz Park and he especially enjoys Smedley Park where he heads straight for the creek so he can swim. He has been such a joy!
Shelby with her new older sister
I hope you and the family are well. It was a pleasure to meet you and I just wanted to say Hi. Shelby has transitioned wonderfully to her new home. I think having Casey around helped her a lot. She loves Casey and they get along beautifully. I think Casey missed having another dog in the house and it has done wonders for her. Shelby has such an easy going personality and is very sweet. She took to the crate the first night and the housebreaking is going better than expected. Its amazing how much she has grown in the past 2-3 weeks! We look forward to vacationing with her at the OBX in June! We will stay in touch and let you know how she’s doing.
I hope Mirage is back to her old self and the siblings are thriving as well! Thanks again for letting us bring Shelby into our home and hearts!
Take Care! Michelle
(Mirage x Noah)
I hope that the beginning of your summer is going well. I just wanted to give you an update on our puppy, Ella. She is healthy and growing well. In general she’s a happy-go-luck girl (picture attached), as all puppies should be. Jan
I thought you might like to see this recent picture of Ella. She loves the water and is doing well.
I wanted to reach out and give you and update on Heisman and share some pics. He is now almost 10months old (born in sept 2012 Noah and Mirage). He is a wild man but in a great way. He loves people and will lick their faces off. He is great with other dogs and just loves to play. His favorite game is playing Frisbee in the back yard.
I take him out onto the golf course and he will chase down the my shots and bring them right back. He loves to go for walks and runs, He is growing up so fast and people marvel at how handsome and big his paws are. Heisman is a great addition to our family and we cant wait for more years and enjoyment.
Attached are some pics.
Hope everything is well and we are looking to getting a brother for heisman soon!
Just wanted to send some current pictures of our boy Juke from Mirage and Noah's litter in September. He is wonderful. With the beautiful weather we have been enjoying hiking, swimming, jogs around Downingtown, playing with his little buddy connor (my nephew) and lounging in the backyard eating his favorite snack.. Carrot sticks! He is turning into quite the handsome man.. Can't believe he is 7months already!! I would definitely like to keep in touch for future litters.. I see Mirage and Noah have a planned litter due in June!
Just wanted to touch base with you and send you updated pictures of our handsome pup! He is the best dog we could have asked for. Thank you so much for breeding well tempered dogs. With all of the snow we were frightened that Juke would have tons of pent up energy but he is proving to be quite the adventurous young lad... He loves bounding through the snow (even when it is well above chest height).. And yes we even shoveled a path and large area so he wouldn't have to trek in the snow but he insists! Any way here are a few current pictures..
Thank you so much for our sweet, adorable puppy!! We've decided to name her Sally. She is such a joy already! She's just fallen asleep for what I hope will be a long-ish nap, and I wanted to just let you know that she's awesome!
She is really, really calm, but she cried a little bit on the way home, but she seemed to be comforted by our talking to her and stroking her and telling her it's ok. She was on my lap the whole ride home. We only made one bathroom stop, and she did great with that. She cried a little bit last night, but she seems a lot happier today. She woke up once during the night and cried, but she stopped really quickly when I reached in her crate to pet her and talk to her. She's very sweet and trusting!
She got a lot more playful today. She loved all the attention she got from the kids at the bus stop this morning! And she and I spent some time playing outside just the two of us.
She had a few pee accidents in the kitchen this morning, but I get her 'look' now and am starting to be able to tell a little bit better if she's gotta go. We're getting there!
She did something I think is really cute and funny. One of our neighbors has 3 dogs who she walks often. Sally and i were out front playing, and the 3 dogs started barking at her. I picked her up to make sure she was ok, and she was shaking like she was scared. I felt really bad for her! After the dogs passed by, we kept playing, and when they passed by on the way home, she saw them coming, and she barked at THEM! It really cracked me up! I didn't know what to make of it but it seems like she's not scared anymore.
Thanks, Vicky! I'm actually going to try to take a little nap while she does. I'll try calling you later this evening if it's too complicated to email me back. Anyway, Sally is a really sweet girl, and i'm SO glad we have her!! Thanks again, Bina
Dear Vicky, I wanted to tell you how much we all absolutely love our sweet girl Sally!! She's an absolutely wonderful, loving dog, and she fits right into our family. Everybody knows her, too! This happened several weeks ago, but I don't think I got a chance to email and tell you: Sally and I were walking to the bus stop, and a lady drove by and rolled down her window and said "Oh my Goodness! Is that Sally??" she couldn't get over how big Sally had gotten. The funny thing is that I have no idea who this lady is, but she sure knows who Sally is! She's just one of the many people who pass our house often enough while Sally and I are walking, and she's so adorable that people have to stop and meet her. It's been really nice for us, being new in town!
Thank you so much for all your support and suggestions! Sally is a joy!
Anyway, I really appreciate all your advice! Last time we had a puppy was almost 15 years ago. You're right that it's all coming back to me, but it's really nice to know that you're there when I have questions.
I also appreciate how sweet you've been about my still sort of being in mourning for Bailey. She really was kind of "my" dog, and I can't begin to tell you how much I've missed her.
It was hard to picture what it would be like to get a new puppy because as wonderful as Sally is, she still wouldn't be Bailey. But it's amazing to me how quickly she and I have gotten attached to each other! She's SUCH an affectionate little dog! I just love her!! She's attached to the rest of the family, too, but I've been gotten to spend a lot time with her because I'm home. She definitely understands that we love her, and she's loving us right back. I was washing some dishes, and Sally came over and curled up in a ball next to where I was standing and put her little face on top of my foot. I think she was planning to go to sleep right there on top of my foot!
I was really tired at the end of the day Monday, but still really happy. Sally and I pretty much spent the day getting to know each other, and learning about her poop area in the yard. Yesterday we had a great day - she's really starting to get it about going potty outside, and it's only been 2 days! We're using a little phrase that we did with Bailey, we say "go do it", while we have her on a leash and she's circling her bathroom area of the backyard. She looks so cute and proud of herself right after she does her business.
She does do the stubborn puppy thing that you mentioned, where she'll sit down and look right at me like "no way, I'm not going", so at those times, I just pick her up and bring her along to wherever I'm going. The bus stop is not very far away, but it can take us a while to get there. ;)
Jacob (he's our 8 yr old) said "Sally's the PERFECT dog for us!" She really is, and I'm so, so happy we have her. Thank you for raising such a sweet puppy!!! She's so happy, sweet and trusting, and I'm sure a lot of it is her genes, but she's also as loving as she is because you took really good care of her. Thank you very much!!!
Parkr with his new brother, Buster
Parkr, (no e) went to the vet today. He received his 2nd set of shots and had all the office staff make a fuss over him. He weighs 20 lbs. He is doing fine, sleeps thru the night, learned how to go down the back stairs today, and loves his big brother "Buster". Enclosed are a few pics, he doesn't stay still long enough to get good photos but I will keep on trying.
Hi Vicky, I am sending some recent photos of Mr. Parkr. He is getting quite big fast. We were at the house in NY this past week-end and he caught his first mouse. He loves to watch and chase the birds and chipmunks. I think he is going to be a leaper. When he chases a ball or Frisbee there is almost always a leap when he gets close to it. I hope he leaps in the water. I took him to the vet today and everyone who works there makes such a fuss over him. He loves the attention. He weighed in at 35 lbs. Bill
Hi Vicky, Parkr is doing fine. He will be 19 months in a few days. He weighs about 77 lbs. He has finally gotten use to going in the truck, although I still have to help him get in. He jumps up or down from anything else. He sits in the back of the truck with his head hanging out the window. The groomer I take him to for baths and nail trims stated how nice his bone structure is. She asked to see his papers, she used to show labs. She said that one of his great grandparents on his fathers side was the top lab in the country in 2010. Any way I am enclosing some recent pics that I took on Sunday, plus a few from this past winter. The one with him standing in the snow is my favorite. Bill
Well Parkr will be 25 months on Friday. He totally loves me and will not let me out of his sight. I get up to do something he follows. He is the only dog that I have ever owned that will rest his head on my feet. He finds it necessary to lay across my lap when we are watching television. I have enclosed some recent pics..
Hope all is well. Today is Parkr's birthday 3 years old. Time does certainly fly by. Here are some photos of 2 weeks ago. He and I got stranded in NY because of a big Ice storm that started in CT and ended in NY. He loves to sit on my lap. It hurts after a while. Today my son brought his chocolate Lab, Decoy over and the 2 of them ran around the back in the snow.
From Faith's family...I just wanted to wish you and your family a Merry Christmas. You have made our Christmas more enjoyable by providing our dear "FAITH". We just love her. She is already housebroken and follows some commands...She makes the walk interesting and everyone stops to tell us how beautiful she is. She loves to walk. She loves people and rolls right over to have her belly rubbed by everyone. Ha ha. She is so funny. As I told you before, she is a joy. We can't wait to add another one to our family.
Good Morning, just wanted to thank you for Addison. We are all loving her! My husband thinks she is a gorgeous, sweet puppy. She had done great in the create at night only barking a few times then she settles in for the night. She is a little shy but comes around quickly. We are teaching her to go up and down steps:) and other things that she is cautious of doing--little to big to be carrying her around! Our other dog, Maggie, is still getting used to Addi being here. Many of our family members lover her too..........Vicky, Addi is doing great she is becoming a big part of our family and we all love her. She is realizing that she "belongs" to us and get excited to see us all!.....Addi is awesome. We love her tons and she is a sweet puppy.
Hi Vicky, Just wanted to keep you updated as to where we are with Addison. Her hips and elbows both passed. She is such a gorgeous sweet girl and our family is so in love with her! We love her zipper!!! She gets so excited when visitors come over and when it is close to her meal time. She "talks" to me!! It is so funny! It isn't a bark or growl but rurururur:) Once people say hi and/or she is fed she is quiet again. She has NEVER jumped on anyone! People are always surprised that she is only 2 (and younger) because of how calm she is. She is beautiful. She is on the smaller side around 55 lbs. We have had many people love her size. Thanks for your time and assistance as we continue working with Addie.
From Bunkley's Family....She is the absolute best, we love her more then we could have ever imagined! She has been pretty easy to train, she is already house broken and knows sit & come. We are working on the lay down & stay now. She is very chill and affectionate but will also go do her own thing....She is super affectionate and very loyal - we couldn't ask for a better dog....she had a blast swimming in the ocean at the Jersey Shore and running around in the yard with my mom's lab all summer long. We had a little boy, Keane, in July and Bunkley is great with him....She is doing great and we are so lucky to have such a wonderful dog. She LOVES the beach and will dive right into the waves and fetch tennis balls all day. We spent 2 months in Florida this winter staying with my mom and took her to the beach almost daily & this summer we're lucky to be at the Jersey Shore (we sneak her down for a swim after the lifeguards leave). She is such a loving and cuddly dog and so great with our son (almost 2 now). I hope you are still breeding when we are ready for another one! Hope all is well with you and your kids and your dogs! Bunkley sends licks to her mom, Lilly, and sister, Sky.
From Jake's Family.......I just wanted to let you know Jake is doing very well. He has such a great temperament with other people and dogs. I call him Mr. Wiggles because his whole body wiggles when he sees another dog or person. He will be getting his first swimming pool experience today at daycare. He even runs very fast in short bursts too. He has all of his shots and now weighs 32 lbs.......Hope all is well. Jake is doing well and very happy. He swims and runs in short bursts now and walks for about an hour at a time before getting winded. He is growing up quickly and now is about 40 lbs and is very handsome as you can see. I think he is starting to look like his mom. He stills has his light green eyes, hopefully they won't change much more. He loves to play with kids in the neighborhood and they absolutely love him back. He also plays very well with just about any dog. He even knows how to deal with unfriendly dogs, knows all his basic commands and is super smart.......Jake is awesome, I can't imagine my life without him now.
Sadie & Olive
We picked up a puppy from you in early September ("Sadie"). She has been a real joy and made us so happy!
Hope you enjoy these pictures. There is a nice portrait of Sadie and also an older picture of her and Olive.
We have gotten so many compliments on what a nice dog Sadie is.
All the best for a wonderful holiday season!
From Sam's family...All the kids on our street love him. And he loves playing with the black lab next door. I've started to take him on short walks and he's getting the hang of being on a leash......Sam (Samson) is doing great. Here he is relaxing on the couch. We always say he is the best dog - just wants to be loved and be walked and sleep. Everyone always comments on how handsome he is. We have a 20 month old son and Sam is so good with him. It's amazing how Sam knows not to get angry even when Theo is bouncing on him or pulling his tail. And when Theo offers him food Sam is so gentle taking it out of his little hand. A lot of my friends' kids love him too!
Hi Vicky -
Sam (Samson) turned 7 a few months ago. He is the best! Really, we and everyone else call him the world's greatest dog. Our neighbors, friends, family, the dog walker - everyone loves him. Whenever we take him anywhere, people - adults and kids - want to pet him and they say how beautiful he is. He's starting to slow down a bit, but he still happily does 4 mile runs with me. And now that our pool is open he loves to jump in for balls over and over again. He also loves to just take long sun naps on the warm brick driveway.
Vicky, Just a quick update to let you know that "Sophie" is doing great. She got an A+ with Dr. Evans yesterday and met her cousin Lucy. She is adjusting well and sleeping most of the night. We just Love her. I'll send you pictures soon. Amy
From Easton's Family....I thought you might like this picture of Easton. He is doing great. The kids wear him out everyday playing, he and Cooper are good buddies now, and he still likes to carry his food bowl around after he eats. Thank you again for letting us have him. I hope you and your family are doing well. I look forward to seeing the new puppies when they are born.
Sorry it took so long for the pictures. He is doing great and everyone loves him! I can't thank you enough for working with us; he is awesome.
Sorry I haven't written sooner. Life, as you well know, is very busy with a puppy. Camper is doing wonderfully and we couldn't be happier. He is a mild, sweet and super smart pup. Food obsessed and eager to please make him very easy to train. We just have to be careful not to hurt his feelings as he is very sensitive. We have are two weeks away from graduating puppy kindergarten and he is doing great. We are just thrilled with him. He has such an amazingly sweet face (very similar to his moms) and grabs attention everywhere we go. So glad we lucked out and were able to get him on such short notice - the stars definitely aligned. We were meant to be. Thanks again for everything. Hope this finds you well.
Hi Vicky and happy holidays to you and your family!
Just wanted to send you an email to let you know that we just sent you a Christmas card with the most recent photo of one of your little ones, our Murphy, taken at Thanksgiving on the beach in Delaware with the kids. He loves the beach and dove right into the ocean but, at this point, he is truly fascinated with the bits of snow we have had here and there! He has a fantastic personality and charms pretty much anyone he meets. He is definitely mischievous and gets into his share of trouble - but when he curls up and cuddles with us at night, we tend to forget all of that! ANYWAY hope all is well with you and we will do better with keeping in touch in the new year, I promise!
I've attached some photos from this summer at the beach, the first day of school and Thanksgiving in Delaware - you can really see how beautifully he has grown!
Talk to you soon!
Just wanted to update you on Murphy... After the long snowy winter, he is really thrilled to be outdoors again - running after balls and SWIMMING in the ocean and the pool! He is now one year olds and loves everyone he meets (and everyone loves him in return!). We take him to all our baseball games and he's super friendly with all the other puppies, especially a chocolate lab named Philly. I attached a video of his latest swimming adventures so you can see for yourself how awesome he is (we think he knows it, too!)
Hi Vicky, I know it has been so long since we last checked in with you - I can't believe Freddie will be 11 months old on Sunday! I just wanted to send you a recent picture and tell you how much we love our girl. Freddie is absolutely gorgeous- a real beauty! she's petite but that suits out family perfectly. Olivia adores her and Freddie is great with letting her climb all over her and play with her. we couldn't have asked or wished for a better dog. she's definitely smart but stubborn, too! she loves to run around and play but also can veg out and be lazy! thanks for such a treasure. hope all is well.
Attached are some pictures of our baby Dakota! (She remained nameless for 24 hours until we could finally agree on a name!) She is so utterly sweet and we are loving every minute with her. She's only had 3 little accidents, none of which were in her crate in the mornings! Thank you for getting her off to such a good start. :) I just made her first vet appointment for next week. We feel like she's getting bigger every day! Thanks again for everything, I'll be in touch soon!
Hi Vicky, I hope you are doing well!! I just wanted to give you an update and to thank you!! Maggie is such a great addition to our family! She is so loving and gentle with our 3 young children! You breed great dogs! We could not have asked for a better puppy! She's been great!! Thanks again! Courtney
Hi Vicky, I just had to pass this information along..... We went on a family vacation to Mexico last week and left Maggie, who is now eight months old, with a friend of ours who boards dogs. She could not get over how great of a puppy Maggie is! Everything from her disposition, obedience, and interaction with the other dogs. She said she's never seen a lab like Maggie and that we must have gotten her from a great breeder! Thanks again!
Had to send you this! She is the best dog!!
Hi Vicky, Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. Gracie is doing great! Full house trained, doing great walking on the leash and she loved her first trip to the beach. Here are a couple of pictures.
Happy Halloween!! I was such a nice and well behaved boy to all of the trick or treaters tonight. Now I am sleepy and am going to snuggle on the couch with my big sister Ruby. I hope you had some good treats tonight!
I just wanted to send you some new pictures of Oskar and to wish you a very Merry Christmas! Having him makes the holidays even more enjoyable this year. He is doing fantastic and has such an amazing temperament! I am going to have him be a reading therapy dog for kids and maybe even a courthouse comfort dog as well when he turns a year old. He went to work with me this week and the whole office fell in love! No one heard a peep out of him all day. Thanks again for giving me the opportunity to have such a happy and sweet boy.
Best wishes, Sarah
Oskar is really enjoying his first snow! He and Ruby have a blast running around outside. He has now surpassed her in size but she still shows him who's boss, haha! In the first picture he is the goof licking the snow :) Hope you stay warm and safe!
I hope you're doing well. Just wanted to let you know that this handsome guy now has a Canine Good Citizen title! So proud of him and he is only 7 months :) You breed such great doggies. Everyone who meets him is instantly in love!
Have a great weekend!
Just thought I would send you some pictures of Oskar enjoying the nice weather outside this weekend :) He's become quite the waterbug- last week he discovered the shower and now hops in if I don't close the door haha! Hope all is well.
Just thought I woukd give you some pictures of my one-year old boy! Cannot believe how fast it has gone. Oskar is doing fantastic and is my comic relief every day! He loves to swim but most of the time just floats haha :) Thank you for such an amazing dog - he has truly helped me through this past year adjusting to adult life out of college. Hope you are doing well!
Oskar is one visit away from being a certified therapy dog! Such a good boy :) He is really developing his personality now, such a goofy and kind dog! And super attached to my girl Ruby.
Merry Christmas from Oskar! He was an all star at the Penn State tailgate over Thanksgiving. He is also really enjoying the therapy work and is actually the evaluating dog for the test now! I hope you are doing well and have a wonderful holiday season :)
Here are some pictures from the Outer Banks this week! It is Oskar and Ruby's favorite place on earth :) He is such a handsome and good boy! ...he definitely has his dad's big head everyone compliments him on it haha!
Oskar is a happy healthy boy! Can't believe 2 years has gone by already. He started nosework a few weeks ago and is the fastest in his class! It will be cool to see him progress these next few weeks
Here's a pic of Josie at 6 months -- she looks just like Leo! She weighed exactly 40 lbs at 6 months.
She's the best pup -- full of personality and warmth. She loves the dog park, going on hikes, and sleeping on our couch.
We can't imagine life before Josie! Thanks for breeding such a great pup.
Hope all's well.
--Ian & Katie
Here are some pics of Josie around 9 months. She's the best!
Anna is a wonderful little girl. We have been training her and she sits very well and comes when called, she waits at her bowl to feed her and she is doing pretty good at staying. I'm working her on the leash and having her lay down. She is super smart.
She had a very good vet check-up and doubled in weight.
And she is getting along great with Bess and Pollo, they are doing a really good job teaching her.
Here is a picture of the three of them. The challenge will be to get the kids and dogs in the same picture!
She has easily fit into our family, we all love her.
I hope you are doing well.
I hope you are doing well. Our little Anna turned one this week. She is not that little anymore, but still our little pup. She has grown into a beautiful, smart and sweet girl. We love her so much. She has been very healthy with no issues. She has not come to heat yet.
Here is a picture of her. She is bigger than our 5 year old girl by a little. I don't think Anna will get taller, but might fill out more. She gets lots of exercise and always has doggie friends visiting.
Thank you again! We could not imagine our life without her.
Bailey & Macey
Vicky, Just wanted to let you know we named her Macey. We absolutely love her! She's sleeping well in crate & no accidents. Thank you again! Anne
I wanted to send you a quick note on our Macey. She is Noah & Charlee's puppy. It's hard to believe but she is now 7 months old. She is the sweetest, best disposition lab we have ever had. She loves her big brother Bailey (11 year old yellow lab) and follows him around constantly. He really loves her too and is younger as a result of all their playing. She is about 53 lbs and is still growing but it looks like she won't be a big one. We've given your name to several people who've asked & sent high recommendations!
Here's a recent photo! Take care!!!
Just a quick note to let you know that Sully is settling in nicely to his new home. He is 12 weeks today. He's so smart! He's pretty much potty trained at this point & knows his little routine. He loves his big sister Macey who is 17 months today. They are both puppies to Charlee & Noah and have amazing temperaments. Macey is beside herself to have a constant playmate! Thank you again for such wonderful dogs!
Well I have been busy keeping up with these boys. They are so adorable. Lots of potty runs but as long as I am on top of it there are very few accidents. Took boys to vet at 10 weeks and Cooper was 12.6 lbs and Finn was 13.1 lbs. since then I can tell they have been gaining weight and growing. Getting bigger by the day. They are funny boys. Always wrestling with each other/play fighting and taking each other's things. Typical siblings! Cooper is definitely louder and more feisty. Finn is the laid back guy. I am busy watching them at all times as they tend to want to bite and eat everything. They are getting used to crate at night and only cry maybe once and if I just calm them down they go back to sleep. Just like babies.
Also, they have mastered the command for sit. I hope to continuing training them to do a lot more. They are so smart.
Just an update for now and I will send more when I can. I do not know how you have handled eight puppies at once but God Bless you! These puppies are amazing. We love them so much!
Hope you are well!
I hope all is well with you and your latest litter. Just sending an update on Cooper and Finn. They are 5 months old and doing great! We are taking some manners/obedience classes and look forward to warmer weather so we can practice walking on a leash in a park setting next. That are such good boys! They get into some normal puppy trouble but nothing too bad. We love them so much.
Thanks for giving us 2 bundles of joy.
Jeannine and Blair Horne
Chester's doing great and we love him! He has such a personality, it's amusing. We have an open field at the bottom of our street which he has been to a few times and loves. It's a right turn. Our early morning walk around the block is a left turn. I had to start to go another way in the morning because when we get to the bottom of the hill and don't turn right he puts the brakes on. Too funny.
Hi Vicky, how are you? I just wanted to show you how big and beautiful Nahla is getting.
Have a good night!
Hi Vicky, just wanted to say and hello. Nahla is doing great. She was recently spayed and did great. We are looking forward to the nice weather to get outside. She weighs about 45lbs! I can't believe how quickly she is growing.
Hi Vicky, just wanted to say hello and share some pictures with you. Nahla is doing great! We get so many compliments on her. Our trainer said that she has a great disposition and feels that it is related to the way she was bred and raised initially.
Hope all is well! One of the pics is from doggie daycare where I take her on days that I have to work so she could socialize and play with other pups.
I just wanted to give you an update so far on the female I got from you. Her name is Leah and she is the sweetest, smartest, most beautiful puppy myself or my family has ever seen. She was potty trained within the first week and 2nd week of her living with us and also learned to sit within that time period. She has now learned to stay, bark if she wants to go outside, no biting, no jumping up on people, walks perfectly on a leash, and keeps attention on me when she needs to. She absolutely loves car rides which is great since we will do a lot of driving. She loves, loves, loves people and prefers them over treats or toys, but I don't think she loves anything more then her food. She goes crazy and starts jumping and barking when it's time to eat. She is great with dogs and will actuslly be meeting two cats on Saturday while I babysit some kids.
I have taken her into many stores including Walmart, Giant, and various pet stores, and she is popular where ever we go. Kids want to hold her and people want pictures of her, which was so unexpected at first. She has already been to Good shepherd rehabilitation hospital (where I volunteer) when my mom picks my brother up from speech therapy, and the kids are starting to love her. She will go more often with me once she gets a little bit bigger. We meet again with John the trainer next week and then we begin obedience classes.
I am so thankful for Leah has she is an amazing pup. She has done so much for other people it's amazing to see!! Thank you again Vicky for Leah and all your help and I will continue to keep you updated!
One of the pictures is of my brother with Leah. My brother does not care for dogs if they are jumpy, as he likes a calm dog. But he loves Leah, she is energetic with the other kids in my family, but with my brother she is always calm with!!
I just wanted to check in and let you know how wonderful Maggie is doing! She is such a love. So incredibly sweet and absolutely adores everyone, especially my daughter! She loooooves to eat (shocker!)- even the vet is impressed at her voraciousness- her food, bones, anything. She loves to play with other dogs- is very submissive- and on walks will wait for another dog that is heading towards us (refuse to move) to see if they will stop and play. She goes to doggie daycare about 2x/week and has a ton of fun with the other pups ... All in all, she is an incredible dog and we are so happy with her (and I think she is equally happy with us!). We fenced in our yard for her about a month ago and she is in heaven. We still do our daily walks, go to the park, etc., but she loves being able to roam around and the watch the world.
